We minister often at the Bradfield Nursing Home and the Willow Bend Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center. What an opportunity to be a blessing to the elderly. These people are lonely and hurting. They are in dire need of visits and to experience the love of Jesus Christ.
I have seen many of them radically saved over the past month. One example is Madeline Layton at the Bradfield Nursing Home just recently. After playing bingo with the people two weeks ago, I was told that Madeline's lungs and heart were shutting down. She was very bitter towards the church, and she did not believe that Jesus was the way, the truth and the life.
I went to visit Madeline on Friday morning Jan. 23, 2009. After spending thirty minutes with her, I began to tell her about Jesus. When I left, she was radically born again. She had repented of all her sins, asked Jesus into her heart, and she said she had peace that she had never known. Five days later, on Wed. Jan. 28, 2009, she went to be with the Lord. She was in her 80's, and is now dancing on the streets of gold in a glorified body. Thank you Jesus. It is never too late for the Lord to rescue the lost.
